At the age of 14, Rolfe was pumping gas and cleaning airplanes on the landing strip beside his parents’ home. By age 16, he earned his pilot’s license. Upon graduation from college, Rolfe took over the company from his father, and became president in 1969. Under Rolfe’s direction, SevenBar has grown steadily into an aviation leader. In 1994, Rolfe stepped aside as president. He now serves as Chairman of the Board and enjoys watching his son Wade run the daily operations of the business. Rolfe is a native of New Mexico, and graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Business Administration. He also holds a degree in mechanical engineering.
