Spectrum Aeromed Completes First Installation for SevenBar Aviation in King Air 200

(September 22, 2014- Fargo, N.D.) Spectrum Aeromed completed its first installation for SevenBar Aviation in a King Air 200. The aircraft is located in Albuquerque, N.M. manned with a medical team from Lifeguard Air Emergency Services.

Lifeguard Air Emergency Services is a department within Emergency Services of University of New Mexico Hospitals and it is New Mexico’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.

“Spectrum Aeromed’s reputation for excellent customer service and customized orders made them the best choice, said Vice President of Business Development for SevenBar Aviation Betsy Casanave, “The crew had specific requests and appreciated how hands-on Spectrum Aeromed allowed them to be in the process. We were exceptionally pleased with the quality of work and the timeline in which it was completed.”

“This installation had such a vital impact on the community and was our first for this customer so it was important for us to maintain strong communications with both SevenBar Aviation and Lifeguard,” said Vice President Account Executive Matthew Christenson. “We worked with feedback from the crew to make sure the installation included solutions to address their concerns in switching to our systems.”

One of the most important features of this installation for the crew was the ease of the patient loading system and ability to adjust the stretcher into multiple positions.

“The loading system is safer and more secure in comparison to what was used in the past and makes it easier on the crews to lift and lower patients and easily secure the patient in multiple positions. Depending on whether we are treating an infant or adult we can adjust their position accordingly,” said Lifeguard Chief Flight Nurse James Allday.

In addition to the Dual Patient Configuration and patient loading system, Spectrum Aeromed also installed IV poles, Stretcher Bridges, Custom Medical Equipment mounts and an Infant Transport Deck.
